Where is the time going? Ava is six months old already. This age seems like such a big leap for some reason... kinda like when you turn eighteen. As Ava gets older she gets more and more fun.
Height: 25 3/4 in. (50%)
Weight: 14.9 lbs (25%)
Head: 16 1/4 in. (15%)
Some fun things about Ava at 6 months old.
* Ava can STILL not roll over. What the heck?? My doctor said maybe she is just content to be where she is and that is why she won't roll over. She will get most of the way from her back to her tummy, but tummy to back- she doesn't even try. At least she doesn't hate tummy time as much as she used to. Putting her on her boppy like this helps.

* Although she can't/won't roll over, she CAN sit up on her own now! Wahoo! I know this looks like she is leaning on the couch, but she isn't. It is so cute to watch her sitting there, start to lean to the side but do a balance check so she doesn't fall. She sat up for like half of relief society on Sunday!

* Miss Ava is one of the most CURIOUS little persons in the world. Her big Blue eyes just stare intently at everything to try and take it all in. She reaches for EVERYTHING and when she grabs it, it goes straight to her mouth. One of her favorite things to reach for is the sink. She will totally bend down out of my arms when we are by a sink... smarty pants. I think she remembers that water comes out and she loves to try and touch the water.

* She has the cutest LAUGH in the whole world. The other night we got her giggling so hard when Jared's dad was pretending to kick Jared in the face with Ava's feet. She has a ticklish left side. She LOVES getting her face softly tickled. She gets the cutest little grin and just holds perfectly still while you do it- like she is afraid if she moves you will stop. She also LOVES little kids and is a very loud baby when we are around them. She has the funniest laugh that she makes when she sees another baby, or herself in the mirror. Ava is a little social butterfly that is for sure. She really wishes she could get up and run around with all the little kids at the mother's group I go to.

* One of her favorite toys to play with is her jumparoo. I know I keep talking about it but seriously she loves it. She loves jumping. We took her to red lobster with us for V-day and she was going crazy jumping on my lap. She also loves to "jump" up the stairs. I will say jump and she bends her knees like she wants to jump and I move her to the next step. She loves it. She also loves wrappers. Anything that makes a crinkle sound she is a fan of. Her bows are also one of her favorite things. They are the perfect size to hold and suck on and transfer from hand to hand. She also likes stuffed animals now.

*Ava is now sleeping through the night very regularly (every once in awhile she wakes up and surprises me), about 8 hours usually at least. She takes a nap every day ONE hour after she wakes up (1-2 hour nap). The rest of the day her naps are random. Usually there are about 3 more (1/2-1 hour long).
This has been the most exciting time of our life, raising Ava. We are loving the journey of parenthood and are learning so much! We can not even remember life before Ava!
She is soso sweet in that picture with the pearls! I LOVE IT! It should be framed somewhere. She is growing so fast, I thought when we were at the game last week that the last time we were at a game together you told us you were pregnant with her. She is so pretty and you guys are amazing parents.
