Christmas eve Jared and I spent the day organizing our basement. It is a work in progress but looks a million times better than it did a month ago! We ate Carl's Jr. for a late lunch ha. That night at last minute we went to the Downings to sleep over. We had a fun evening. Ava did not want to go to bed becasue she was having too much fun with her uncle's. She finally went to sleep at 12:30 and then Santa came! It was so fun being Santa. It was my favorite part of the day. The next morning we woke up at 6:50!! wow. And opened presents. We let Ava sleep in until 8:30 when she opened her presents. She got a lot of great toys and other gifts. That girl sure is spoiled. Jared and I were spoiled as well. We hung out at the Downing's the rest of the day. It was a great day!
Jared just graduated with a degree in Information systems. The kids go crazy when he walks through the door after work. He is the best daddy. He loves camping, hiking, and spending all spare minutes with his wife. Maija-Liisa graduated from BYU in April 2009 and now stays at home with our crazy and wonderful kids. She loves being a mom. The smiles and giggles make it all worth it. She loves reading, trying to get better at photography (there is so much to learn!) and doing anything outside. Ava is almost 5 and loves reading, dancing, writing notes, playing outside; especially with friends, and protecting (bossing around) her little brother. Carter and Mason are our twin boys who were born 4 months premature and passed away shortly after their birth. We are so grateful that our family will be together forever and that we will get to meet them again someday. Bennett is almost 2 and is a crazy goofball with the best smile you will ever see. He likes to get into mischief and can't be left alone for a minute. He loves milk, watching teetee, following Ava around, being cuddled, jumping, climbing, running, and being picked up by mom and dad.
