magic number 6

The doctor was right. Six weeks is a magic number to reach. Bennett had some very rough days and nights coming up to his 6 week b-day. Since he turned 6 weeks a couple days ago he seems to be having more and more content moments. It is SO wonderful. He even smiled at me yesterday!!! He is starting to "talk" in a sad voice and it is the most adorable noise ever. I love him. :) Bennett is wearing 0-3 mo. clothes and will not be in them too much longer! He is growing out of clothes so much faster than Ava did. He is also much more tolerable about tummy time. In fact, sometimes when he is crying tummy time will help him calm down. He is a terrible sleeper. 3-4 hours at the beginning of the night, then every 1-2 hours the rest of the night. Naps are anywhere from 10 min to an hour, unless he is being held. Then he will sleep longer. Jared and I both usually end up sleeping in the rocking chair for some portion of the night. He still eats every hour and a half. He has already had his first cold :(

Bennett took his first road trip last week when we went to Idaho to go to my friend Shallin's wedding. He was soo good in Idaho! It was also nice to have other people help out. :) It was so fun to see my family and friends from high school! It was the first time we were all together since my wedding 5 years ago. Sadly, we did not get a picture all together becasue I was stupid and didn't bring my camera to Shallin's wedding dinner.

We had fun jumping on the newly installed trampoline at my parents house. I did a backhandspring for the first time since before I got pregnant with Mason and Carter. It was a bit scary but so fun to do tricks like that again!

The last week the weather has been perfect so we have spent lots of time outside going on walks and letting ava play at the park.
