Two Years Baby!

It all started St. Patricks Day 2007 when Jared took me out on our first date. I had turned him down a couple weeks earlier to go with my friends on a trip to California, so luckily he was persistant :) Jared had lost his voice becasue he was sick, so it was kinda funny on our date. He either had to whisper, or write stuff down to talk to me. It all worked out though! We went to Magelbys for dinner, then to guitars unplugged and for ice cream after. He was thinking about doing summer sales but since he met me he DESPERATELY searched for a job where he could still make good money and be in Utah. That is how he ended up at Prosper where he still works today! It is thanks to me that he didn't have to go out ALL summer knocking doors. We dated all summer, going to the cabin with my family, floating Provo river, hiking, jumping on the tramp with the sprinklers, movies, walks, ice cream, and lots of other fun summer stuff. We stayed out WAY later than we would ever even think of doing today haha. It was the most wonderful summer. His family went on a trip to Nauvoo towards the end of summer and that is when we realized that we were madly in love and didn't want to ever have to live without each other. We talked about getting married for the first time on labor day and were engaged on September 27th, 2007. Jared took me up to Sundance, and "surprised" me by taking me on a moon-lit ski lift ride where he proposed. I said YES and we were married on December 2007 in the Idaho Falls temple. These past 2 years have been the best of my life and they just keep getting better! I love you Jared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This year for our anniversary we scored a sweet deal and got to stay at a cabin that Prosper owns for FREE! It was an $800,000 cabin that we got entirely to ourselves. Jetted tubs in all 3 bathrooms, fireplaces, granite countertops, a shower with 6 different places the water comes out. Wow it was a nice cabin. We drove up to Jackson Hole and went snowmobiling which was way fun. Jared got us stuck and LUCKILY there was a group of expert snomobilers 10 minutes behind us who helped get us out, or we may have just died up in the mountains of Idaho. My feet were freezing after being out on the snow for just 10 minutes! We had a blast celebrating our anniversary together, and my mom was so nice and watched Ava for TWO whole nights! It was weird being without her, but also very nice. And...Ava took a bottle which was even nicer becasue I didn't have to worry about her starving while we were gone. :)
