New Year's in Idaho

Warning: Loong post and lots of pictures

We had a blast in Idaho this holiday. 

We got to meet up with my high school friends for a lovely dinner of Chic-fil-A. Later that night Jared and I went away overnight for a much needed night of sleep away from Bennett. Oh, and maybe it was also to celebrate our anniversary. Five years! Destinations Inn is awesome if you are ever in Idaho Falls. I think eventually we will stay in all the rooms there. This was the cozy Alaska room. In case you were wondering Bennett slept from 10 until 5:30 for my mom that night. He slept about 3 times his norm for her. Lucky.

We opened presents at my parents house the next morning and celebrated my mom's 50th birthday!

 Then we headed up to Drigg's Idaho for a getaway with my family at a fun little town home condo. It is beautiful up there! We had fun sledding and I took about half a million pictures.

 We also got to drive up to Targhee to go tubing. We ended up stopping to help a couple people who had gotten desperately stuck after pulling over to take some shots of this gorgeous view. Seriously, the pictures don't even come close to how beautiful it is up there. My awesome dad got the people unstuck and we finished the evening tubing. To be honest, tubing at Targhee is not the best. Long lines, short course.Three times down and we were done.

 Ava got sick while we were there. So her naps were super long. Kjirstin and I planned a scavenger hunt for the girls. It was fun watching them figure out the clues. The treasure was a bunch of fun dollar store activities and toys. Jared is now a professional kettle corn maker after making about 20 batches this month to give away. Jared got to go skiing with his friend Steve while we were there which was fun for him.

 New Years eve was fun. New Years juice and all. When we get  the video put on youtube I will put it on here. Ava and Oakley are so cute. Oh Bennett slept from 10 until 7:30 new years!! Amazing!!

We had so much fun over the break! I was sad to have it end. Although, Bennett has been much happier not having to be stuck in the car for hours on end. (torture)
